This evening celebrates Sherry Geyelin: an enthusiastic and devoted friend of storytelling, and a delightfully unique teller in her own right. Her energy was boundless as she helped to shepherd the performing art of storytelling for adults to its place of national prominence. She also brought the talents of new storytellers to the attention of new audiences in Washington and on the national scene. Her passion for storytelling was infectious, and we are enormously grateful to her for all she did for so many people. She and Donald Davis were especially close, so we are particularly honored to have Donald as the teller for our inaugural celebration of Sherry’s many contributions.
